iPhone 6 is said to launch on Friday, September 19 in 32 GB and 64 GB Variants. According to a new report from Chinese web portal TencentApple is looking to launch the 4.7-inch iPhone 6 on Friday, September 19. The news comes after German carrier Deutsche Telekom was reported to be informing customers of a similar release date for the device. The report also notes that Apple will launch 32GB and 64GB capacities of the phone for 5,288 yuan ($846) and 6,288 yuan ($1008), indicating that Apple may launch the iPhone 6 without a 16GB model. Customers Want Better Battery, Larger Display According to investment bank RBC Capital Markets, Demand for Apple’s next gen iPhone is strong. Apple to Use More Durable Touch ID Sensors for Next Generation iOS Devices. Apple will be bringing Touch ID fingerprint sensor to most of its iOS lineup this fall. Now a report from China Times claims TSMC (Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company) will be expanding its 8-inch chip plant where the Touch ID sensors will be assembled.  According to these fresh reports, TSMC will produce 120 million Touch IDs throughout 2014, which represents a growth of roughly 233% since last year. Supply chain sources have also indicated that the first batch of Touch IDs will start being shipped in early July. Next generation of Touch IDs used by the iPad Air 2 and iPad Mini 3 will improve the sensor module’s durability.
